Marvin Gaye Park & Heritage Trail

Washington DC has a hidden jewel in Ward 7 called the Marvin Gaye Park and Heritage Trail.  The trail runs for 2 miles along the Watts Branch Stream Valley. Jasper and I went with Steve Coleman of Washington Parks and People to experience the park.  Here is Steve and Jasper in front of the mosaic welcoming people into Marvin Gaye Park. The piano keys at Marvin's hands are composed of mirror shards and tile which shimmer.
An urban oasis along the stream.  See the Down by the Riverside Campaign page for details on how to get there and help with the re-vitalization efforts along the stream.
