The Florida Keys and Sunset in Key West

Yesterday stayed overnight in Islamorada Key (just south of Key Largo)  at the Ragged Edge Resort.  Situated on the Atlantic coast all the rooms have refrigerators or full Kitchens.  Our Studio had a screened porch and full kitchen.  Drove the 2+ hours to Key West for the Sunset. We could hear woodpeckers pecking and other birds talking to each other in the morning.  Very quiet, peaceful place to be.

The famous sunset

Beautiful colors in the sky after the sun goes down in Key West.  There were thousands of people on the quay congregated to watch the sunset.  It was quite lovely in spirit.  Even with all the open air bars throughout the downtown area the energy was very gentle. This would be a nice place to return to if one wanted a warm place for rest and renewal.
